Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services of Holiday People Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By making a booking or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
Holiday People Limited is a licensed travel agency registered in Uganda, operating from Hillside Plaza Hotel, Ntinda II Road, Kampala. We provide travel planning, booking, visa support, and related services to individuals, groups, and corporate clients.
2. Bookings & Reservations
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment.
- A booking confirmation will be issued via email once payment is received and arrangements are secured.
- It is the client's responsibility to ensure all personal details (names, passport numbers, dates) are accurate at the time of booking. Errors may result in additional charges from airlines or service providers.
- Holiday People Limited acts as an agent for airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other suppliers. Their individual terms and conditions will also apply to your booking.
3. Payments
- Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking and vary by service type and destination.
- All prices are quoted in the currency specified and are subject to change until full payment is received and booking is confirmed.
- Any bank charges, transfer fees, or currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the client.
- We reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings where payment has not been received within the agreed timeframe.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to holidaypeopleltd@gmail.com.
- Cancellation fees vary depending on the service, supplier policies, and how far in advance the cancellation is made. These will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Non-refundable deposits, airline tickets, and supplier charges may not be recoverable upon cancellation.
- Holiday People Limited is not liable for cancellation fees imposed by third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators).
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14–30 business days, subject to supplier timelines.
5. Changes to Bookings
- Requests to amend a booking (dates, names, destinations) must be made in writing and are subject to supplier availability and applicable amendment fees.
- Holiday People Limited will endeavour to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee amendments, particularly for non-flexible fares or peak travel periods.
6. Travel Documents & Visas
- It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure they hold a valid passport, appropriate visas, and any required health documentation for their destination.
- Where we assist with visa applications, we provide guidance and document preparation support. We do not guarantee visa approval, as decisions rest entirely with the relevant embassy or immigration authority.
- Holiday People Limited is not liable for any loss arising from a client's failure to obtain the correct travel documents.
7. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and loss of baggage before travel. Holiday People Limited is not responsible for costs arising from a lack of adequate insurance cover.
8. Our Liability
- Holiday People Limited acts as an intermediary between clients and travel service providers. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or negligence of third-party suppliers.
- We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by airlines, hotels, weather, political events, force majeure, or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Our liability, where applicable, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the affected service.
9. Health & Safety
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel and for obtaining any required vaccinations or health clearances for their destination. We recommend consulting a healthcare provider and checking destination entry requirements before travel.
10. Complaints
If you experience a problem during your trip, please notify the relevant supplier immediately and contact us as soon as possible. Complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the travel date. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Holiday People Limited and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our written permission.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
